My calendar is filled with lots of hens & weddings for the rest of the year.
To celebrate the final weeks of Anna’s singlehood, the girls started the day with rides at Luna Park and ended it at Hurricane’s Grill & Bar at Darling Harbour.
After walking past the crowd at the entrance and through the corridor filled with fire flames, we arrived at our table for 20 with a view of Darling Harbour, skyscrapers and night lights.
Once we settled down, the waiter introduced himself to us and although they were busy, we knew that we were in for great service. We decided to order and share the food with those around us. Here’s what I ate that night:
- Garlic Prawns – Cooked with garlic butter, olive oil & fresh garlic ($18)
- Caesar Salad – Crisp cos lettuce, croutons, bacon, anchovies, shaved parmigiano and caesar dressing ($20)
- Full Rack of Pork Ribs served with chips or baked potatoes ($42.90)
- Pepper Sauce ($2.50)
There’s no such thing as eating in a ladylike manner when it comes to ribs. Most of the girls ditched the cutlery to eat the finger-licking, juicy, fall-off-the-bone charred ribs. Whilst I’m not sure whether Hurricane’s can claim the title for ‘best ribs in Sydney’, their pork ribs sure tasted good. On the other hand, the Caesar Salad and Garlic Prawns were average, you can probably give them a miss.
We enjoyed the Saturday night fireworks over our beautiful harbour, then after dinner surprised the puzzle-loving bride-to-be with a personalised jigsaw puzzle, she completed it in seconds. Too easy.
