The Baron – Castle Hill

Friends have been telling me to check out The Baron at Castle Hill for a while now, so I finally went with two friends on a Sunday morning to see what the hype was about.IMG_3717

We parked at Castle Towers and spent some time locating the cafe as we thought it would be at The Piazza where most of the restaurants and cafes were. When we eventually found The Baron, we were glad we didn’t just drop by any old cafe.

IMG_3733The three of us walked into the crowded cafe at about 10.15am, we were immediately captured by the tantalizing aroma that filled the cafe as well as the vintage, garage-vibe to the cafe. We sat down at a treasure chest that served as a makeshift table and had a good view of the open kitchen where we could see the chefs cooking away the delicious food using local produce.

IMG_3725IMG_3719A friend recommended the Bacon & Egg roll, so we decided to order one each ($9) along with a cup of Single Origin Roasters coffee, Cappucinno ($3.50) and Latte ($3.50). It was only after we had placed our order that we realised we should have upgraded our coffee to a large for 50 cents extra.

IMG_3731The Baron exceeded my expectations for a cafe in the Hills area, it’s definitely worth dropping by if you’re in the area.
