Believe it or not, this was my first ever Sugar Hit! My friends have been going to Sugar Hit through Crave Sydney International Food Festival (previously known as Good Food Month) during October for a number of years – I finally joined them this year.
Eight of us went to Sofitel Sydney Wentworth for a “I Love Chocolate” dessert indulgence with a glass of Brown Brothers Muscat and Flora.
For $20, our dessert plate included:
- Opera slice;
- Chocolate and cocoa nibs tartlet;
- Chocolate macaroon;
- Chocolate mousse; and a
- Chocolate eclair
The staff were busy and were somewhat careless (they dropped one of the tarts whilst serving the plates and did not end up replacing it!) The desserts were rich & chocolatey, I particularly liked the chocolate tartlet and the opera slice with a tiny piece of gold leaf.
