I popped into Mooberry in Neutral Bay a fortnight ago for an afternoon of chocolate indulgence. Unlike most places that sell frozen yoghurt (aka froyo), Mooberry is a dessert and breakfast bar.
Upon entering the Military Road shop front, it was clear that the three-storey venue with funky décor is a cool and relaxing place to hang out.
Jamie the store manager served us froyos to start, my friend and I picked their recommended flavours- Salted Caramel and Passionfruit ($7.50 each, regular size).
Mmm.. Froyo! This was the second time I’ve had froyo. Mooberry’s tasted natural and creamy. The Passionfruit froyo tasted sharp and tangy, however the Salted Caramel flavour didn’t come through as strong as I would have liked.
Here comes our hot chocolate… Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate ($5.50) and Belgian Hot Chocolate ($5). These were rich, smooth and deliciously made.
BTW, have you noticed the rustic wooden table? The coffee table was hacked from a cable reel! Next DIY project? 🙂
And finally, Mooberry Crepes ($9.90). These crepes were filled with a thin layer of banana and served with chocolate buttons, fresh strawberries and a drizzle of milk chocolate. This dessert was the highlight of our afternoon, they were delectable and with so much fruit on it, you don’t feel too naughty enjoying this… hahaha 😛
