The Tuckshop is a cool suburban cafe located not too far from where I used to go to school, they are an offshoot by the guys who brought us The Baron in Castle Hill.
The décor reminds me of a school yard. But with menu items like Toasted Almond Muesli and Brisket Roll, this tuckshop has better food than any school tuckshop I’ve been to!
I ordered their Cheeseburger ($12) which comes with old bay seasoned fries. As a messy eater, I had sauce all over my hands and I couldn’t care less as the brioche bun was soft, the patty was juicy and the sauce was yummy. It was a satisfying cheeseburger.
Peter ordered The Tradie Roll – double bacon, cheese, fried egg, hash brown with smoky house BBQ sauce ($13) I had a bite, it’s pretty good 😉
I think I personally prefer The Tuckshop over The Baron, it’s more spacious and it’s got a community vibe to it. And the best thing is that my hair doesn’t smell like bacon afterwards!
