Two months ago, I caught up with a good friend who’s back Down Under after working in the US for a few years. We went to Wildpear Cafe for lunch as it was recommended to me by another foodie 😉
Wildpear Cafe has both indoor and outdoor dining areas, the outdoor area overlooks a beautiful nursery out in Dural, creating a relaxing atmosphere to enjoy your meal.
There were several items on the menu that I would have loved to try, but the Pan-fried Gnocchi with chorizo, king prawns, parmesan, cherry tomatoes, basil & tomato sugo ($24.90) caught my eye.
My friend Jane also ordered a similar dish, Lamb cutlets pan fried gnocchi with cherry tomatoes, pumpkin and pomegranate dressing ($28.90)My plate of pan-fried gnocchi was ah-may-zing! I couldn’t get over how delicious everything on my plate tasted! There was a good amount of sauce, the gnocchi was perfectly pan-fried, the prawns were fresh and the chorizos were tasty.
While the prices were on the higher end for a cafe, the portions were large enough that you won’t be left hungry. I’ll admit that it was hard to get the staff’s attention at times, but I will come back to try more of their food.
